Sentimental

We at Dry County are feeling a little sentimental today as we reflect on the past two years of operation. You are probably wondering how we can be sentimental about two years when we just celebrated our one-year anniversary, let us explain.

Years ago when our co-founders, Trey and Cooper, decided to Make Their Run and open a brewery, they realized that it was a lot more difficult than just deciding you want to open a brewery. Even with the help of their 401K's and some money from some family and friends, they did not have nearly enough money to get the operation up and running. After racking their brains, they decided to go through a process called Contract Brewing. Essentially what that means is that we found a larger brewery that was willing to help us brew our own recipes on their equipment. After calling around and not finding the right fit with any local GA breweries (they are very experienced with rejection), Trey and Cooper found their way to a brewery in Mississippi called Lazy Magnolia. This is where, on September 25, 2015, the first batch of Dry County IPA was brewed on an industrial scale. Now, two years later, we have received the first delivery of many in what will soon be our 30bbl brewhouse. The brewhouse will be up and running this November, so stay tuned for more updates!

Below is a short timeline starting September 25, 2015, and ending September 25, 2017.

As we reflect on two years we have a lot to be proud of.

Cheers to the past, and here's to the future!
